Latest Happenings at Dairy Farm

The summer is bustling here at Dairy Farm - the Suffolk base of Heathpatch Ltd.

We kicked off the summer season with a fantastic turnout at the Suffolk Show.  We were pleased to share our stand with group members Global Machinery Solutions, CamdenBoss, and Cogent Technology, with the added bonus of Nedging Hall Estate providing exceptional hospitality for our guests. The event was an excellent platform for showcasing our Group and establishing valuable connections within the community.

June and July saw the return of our evening Farm Tractor Tours. These tours were free for local residents, allowing them to explore our farm and get a closer look at our operations. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with numerous thank you messages from attendees expressing their enjoyment and appreciation. Here are some of the comments.

One lucky tour group even had the extraordinary experience of witnessing this year’s barn owl chicks being ringed, a crucial activity for monitoring our conservation efforts.  There are currently 28 boxes installed around the estate for barn owls and kestrels, with a planned siting of more later this year. Some of the sites go back to 2006, with 149 chicks in total ringed over this period.

Now, we are in the midst of harvest season, the busiest time for our team at Brett Vale Farming Company. Our combines and tractors are currently a familiar sight across our corner of Suffolk, as the team work hard whilst the sun shines. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our neighbours as we carry out these essential farming activities. Our team are endeavouring to minimise any disruptions.

As we continue through the harvest, we are reminded of the strong community spirit that makes these events and our ongoing efforts so rewarding. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and participated in our summer activities. We look forward to sharing more updates as the season progresses and wish all our community an enjoyable summer.
