We were delighted to welcome two Hadleigh High School students, Billy and Max, for a week of work experience with us. Over the course of the week, they spent time with our teams across the business, gaining insight into everything we do from farming, property maintenance and gardening to accounts, HR and of course, some filing. They even passed our introductory Essential Health & Safety Training for new employees.

It was a pleasure to have them with us. Both lads showed genuine curiosity, a willingness to get stuck in and excellent manners throughout their time here. They particularly enjoyed the practical sessions, including being shown our farm machinery and helping to build a much needed storage shelf for one of our properties. They also appreciated learning about taxes, payroll processes, and even how we move from growing vegetables in Nedging Hall's garden to getting them on the plate at The Bildeston Crown as part of our well known 'Estate to Plate' commitment.

The team thoroughly enjoyed having them around, and it was great to get feedback from Billy and Max. They were full of praise for the patience, friendliness and helpfulness of their hosts. Thank you to all the staff who gave their time and energy to make their week so memorable.

We’re pleased to support work placements like this, and we wish Billy and Max all the very best in the future. They’ll go far!
