Mauldons Brewery is pleased to announce we are taking on the lease of The Gainsborough on King Street, Sudbury. The brewery already owns and successfully runs The Brewery Tap, Sudbury and The Lindsey Rose and are very excited for The Gainsborough to become part of the group.
Mauldons aims to build on The Gainsborough’s existing reputation and continue its success. We are very excited to offer something we feel Sudbury is missing. Having selected a great variety of real ales, classic cocktails, and locally sourced produce, you can guarantee The Gainsborough will have everything you are looking for.
There are several plans to refresh the inside of the pub and bar and revitalise the outdoor space, which will offer socially distanced drinking and dining just in time for the summer sun.
The Gainsborough will also be introducing new events for all to look forward to, including homemade pizza nights where fresh pizzas made in the new wood-fired pizza oven are served. We will also be holding brunches, live music events and beer festivals throughout the summer months.
Finally, and arguably most importantly, The Gainsborough will be fully stocked with Mauldons traditional ale for everyone to enjoy. Mole Trap will be permanent along with a rotation of other ales, including Silver Adder.
Charlie Buckle, the owner of Mauldons Brewery, said, “It’s a really exciting development. I have been looking at other establishments locally, and The Gainsborough is in the heart of our hometown of Sudbury. I cannot wait to sit down and enjoy a delicious meal and pint of Mauldons in The Gainsborough!’
Mauldons Brewery looks forward to welcoming you all back to The Gainsborough in May. For table bookings inside, outside, or underneath the marquee, please contact Josie on 07842585151.
